This was the first painting I completed in 2023. Its a paintover so all the lovely layers were there plus it was the first painting I did with this years colour pallette which is lovely soft greens, blue and a pink. I make all my own colours so these are not straight out of the bottle. 
 
I have kept it because  I really like the way I painted it with an oversized brush for the job and kept it really loose and light.  I would like to paint more this way but I just cant keep away from that exciting mark making that takes over.  Note to self - don't overwork the painting ...ok , I will try harder in future.
